Update of Galaxies Away, ([link]), post stippling.

All the little stars are clusters of dots... Took a decent amount of time, but I love this one. It's more cutesy than my other work, but it makes me so happy to look at.

Take taken: ~4 hours
Materials:
-Acrylic paint
- Glitter (lots and lots)
- Water colors
-Micron pens

It's a shame that the glitter didn't show up anywhere but the top of it. The entire piece is covered it in, especially the lines that branch out from the center. When the light hits it right, it glows.

This is 1 piece of a series of 12 that I'm doing, so check back for updates soon!


p.s. I'm in love with John Green's book of the same title.

I really wish I could see this in real life, it looks lovely. There is an artistic sort of chaos here, but I enjoy it. ;p

Thank you! I really love this piece, although I don't think this image does it much justice. A lot of the colors got lost in the photograph. This is definitely the most chaotic piece I've ever done, and I'm glad it works for you, I was a little worried that it'd be overwhelming : )

That always bums me out when something looks so stunning in real life, but then when I try to take a picture it doesn't look the same. Such a shame you know?
But yes, it's very wonderful even through the photograph. It is overwhelming, but in a good way! :D

This is really amazing, I love the swirls! The glitter really adds another splash of color to the piece, and the way it lingers somewhere between abstract and fantasy is really unique.
I really like the silver that's mixed in with the pink and the glitter, it looks really neat!
Overall, this is a fantastic piece! Well done, and I can't wait for more! :D

Thanks so much for such a wonderful comment! I wish I had a better shot of the glitter, it literally shimmers when the light hits it because there is so much of it on it!
Now that my sport season is over I hope to finish these most quickly, so I hope to post more soon!

Awesome! Sorry things are so slow to get out. I sort of just have too many pieces going on right now >.< Hopefully I'll get some out before winter break, but if not, I'll be taking them home with me to work on!
